***Subject: Immediate Refund and Compensation Required**

Hello Holly,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to formally address a serious incident that I encountered during my recent relocation, and I expect immediate action regarding my demands for resolution.

On January 31st, I was moving from Cranbrook to Victoria with a truck fully loaded with my belongings. While stopping in Kamloops for the night, I faced a significant issue: I had to apply excessive pressure to the gas pedal to maintain speed, while the RPMs were alarmingly high. Upon reaching the hotel, the vehicle completely failed to function, and I observed heavy smoke billowing from under the hood, accompanied by a strong burning smell.

The following morning, when I attempted to start the truck, smoke started to appear, and I noticed oil leaking onto the ground. Upon inspection, I discovered that the transmission fluid had been overfilled and remained high, despite the leakage. I contacted BCAA for assistance, and they diagnosed the issue as an overfill of the transmission fluid. They towed the truck to a trusted mechanic they work with.

Due to the mechanic's schedule, I was forced to endure an unnecessary wait until Monday for repairs to begin, ultimately preventing me from leaving until Wednesday, February 5th, after the work was completed.

Paul, the mechanic and owner of ORD Automotive, confirmed that the overfilled transmission fluid caused congestion in the lines and a feedback loop, leading to the damage of a fan within the transmission box. This ignited a fire that compromised the transmission and burned several crucial wires and harnesses necessary for the vehicle's operation.

I have attached Paul’s contact information from the accompanying bill in case you need further clarification.

Moreover, I want to emphasize that the check engine light reactivated just hours after being diagnosed and reset by Canadian Tire during a prior visit in January. Additionally, the 'change oil' alert has reappeared, despite the engine oil being changed during service on December 11, 2024.

Given these circumstances, I am demanding the following:

1. A full refund of the charges incurred during my two previous visits to Canadian Tire in December and January, as neither visit resolved the ongoing issues.
2. Reimbursement for the costs associated with the new transmission and repairs due to fire damage, along with compensation for my hotel expenses incurred while I awaited the repairs.
3. Fair and appropriate compensation for the physical and mental distress I endured during this ordeal, particularly considering the alarming risk to my safety posed by the threat of fire reaching the gas tank, which could have resulted in a catastrophic explosion, and the potential of death.

I have attached copies of all relevant bills and photographs of the damaged wires and harnesses for your review.

I expect your immediate attention to this matter and a satisfactory resolution without delay.

Sincerely,
Yaman Saleh
